Your Role

As a Director of Supply Chain and Planning you will be responsible for leading the organization’s planning and supply chain strategy operations including demand planning, procurement, supplier development, order processing & new product planning to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role requires strategic planning, strong leadership skills, and an ability to drive continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency and cost reduction while ensuring production availability and timely delivery to customers. This role reports to the COO.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain and planning strategies that are scalable and cost effective to ensure quality products are available as needed.
  • Regularly work closely with sales, finance and management to accurately forecast all product demand.
  • Oversee all aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Oversee material requirements planning to purchase raw materials and consumables based on production demands and forecast ensuring all materials are available as needed.
  • Cultivate relationships with suppliers while also developing, monitoring and improving contracts to ensure they are complying with contractual agreements and obligations.
  • Continuously monitor inventory levels to ensure optimized turnover, reduce waste, and minimize holding cost.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the supply chain and planning team, ensuring they are trained, efficient and effective on a daily basis.
  • Track key performance indicators and analyze data for the supply chain and planning activities, report on results regularly with a focus on continuous improvement and take corrective action when necessary to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in the supply chain, while ensuring quality is maintained or improved.
  • Develop IT systems to manage planning and supply chain operations effectively, this may include the implementation of ERP systems.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field. MBA is a plus. (Experience may be considerate for this role)
  • 10+ years experience in a supply chain or logistics role.
  • Expert with supply chain management software and ERP systems, NetSuite preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suites and Google Suites.

Pay Range: $180,000 - $200,000

*Base salary only. Salary dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
