Your Role

We are seeking a skilled Node-RED Application Developer to join our dynamic team, driving the evolution towards Industry 4.0 and the Smart Factory paradigm. As a key contributor, you will develop applications using Node-RED for automated test equipment, enabling seamless integration and data-driven decision-making. Collaborating across functions, you will shape the future of manufacturing automation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design applications using Node-RED for automated test equipment in manufacturing environments, advancing our journey towards Industry 4.0 and the Smart Factory.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather requirements and specifications, driving innovation and efficiency through cutting-edge technology.
• Program and configure control boxes and interface machine I/O, orchestrating the convergence of physical and digital realms.
• Implement industrial control systems and protocols, optimizing equipment performance and enabling real-time insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring robustness and reliability in application development and equipment functionality.
• Conduct testing and validation to meet quality standards and performance requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide technical support during qualification and commissioning, leveraging expertise to ensure seamless integration into the manufacturing ecosystem.
• Integrate MongoDB databases for tracking manufacturing data trends, empowering data-driven decision-making and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Document all aspects of application development, adhering to coding standards and best practices in the pursuit of excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in application development using Node-RED in industrial or manufacturing environments, with a keen interest in Industry 4.0 and IIoT.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems and protocols, coupled with proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and/or C/C++.
• Experience with control box configuration and interfacing machine I/O, demonstrating a holistic approach to automation and integration.
• Familiarity with MongoDB or other database systems for data tracking and analysis, driving insights and foresight in manufacturing operations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, coupled with effective communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in developing automated test equipment or similar manufacturing solutions, contributing to the advancement of Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, embracing adaptability and collaboration in a rapidly evolving landscape.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment practices, facilitating agility and innovation in software development processes.
• Understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts in manufacturing automation, unlocking new frontiers in predictive maintenance and optimization.
• Passion for Industry 4.0, IoT, and Smart Factory concepts, driving transformative change and pushing the boundaries of manufacturing excellence.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000

*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
