Your Role

The role of the Quality Specialist reports to the Quality Director. The role will be focused on maintaining the metrology equipment that supports product analysis in the Quality lab and in Manufacturing.

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve upon the measurement tools used to support incoming and in-process product inspections. This shall include evaluating existing equipment as well as potential new equipment
  • Document and track all measurement equipment within the QMS while maintaining ISO9001 compliance for certification
  • Create working documents for use of the equipment and train the quality team
  • Maintain Golden Samples used to validate Quality and Manufacturing equipment
  • Lead the RMA and Failure Analysis process by performing analysis of returned or in-process products and reporting findings
  • Conduct root cause analysis and bring to closure any quality issues that are identified on the manufacturing line or from customer returns.
  • Support product/process qualifications including trials, testing and reporting activities.
  • Publish reports based on analysis that shall be used improve product quality in collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Participate in various special projects that support the quality, manufacturing and engineering teams.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Education in Quality, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience using metrology equipment from basic hand tools to CMM, vision systems and similar
  • Experience authoring procedures that support training Quality & MFG teams
  • Experience working with database systems in order to extract, format, analyze and report out conclusions/recommendations

Pay Range: $95,000 - $115,000

*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
