Your Role
The role of the Sr. Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Director. The role will be focused on supporting quality systems and activities throughout the business. This shall include working with suppliers, engineering, operations, and customers to continuously improve the quality of Aperia products and services.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and support the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure that the highest quality products possible are delivered to customers.
- Develop and support the continuous improvement of suppliers to ensure that the highest quality products possible are delivered to Aperia.
- Conduct root cause analysis and bring to closure quality issues that are identified from suppliers, on the manufacturing line, or from customer returns.
- Author and execute CARs/SCARs as required to resolve internal/external quality issues.
- Support product/process qualifications including trials, testing and reporting activities.
- Statistically analyze production data using SQL, Excel, Minitab or similar to generate reports designed to bring focus to and prioritize quality issues with the engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Support tactical opportunities for improvement at the manufacturing site.
- Create working documents for quality tasks and train the quality & manufacturing teams.
- Maintain and improve ISO9001 compliant systems that support quality Manufacturing.
- Participate in various special projects that support the quality, manufacturing and engineering teams.
Skills/Qualifications
- Education in Quality, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a quality or manufacturing engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Development and New Product Introduction is preferred.
- Experience in automotive-related manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience and working knowledge of key quality tools used in the manufacturing (5-Why, Fishbone, GR&R, GD&T, 8D/CAPA for RCCA).
- Experience working with database systems in order to extract, format, analyze and report out conclusions/recommendations.
- Hands on experience using metrology equipment from basic hand tools to CMM, vision systems and similar.
Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000
*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
