About the Role
BlastPoint is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team. As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers, playing a critical role in our sales pipeline. You will identify, qualify, and connect high-value prospects with our Account Executives. Primary duties for this position include
Lead Generation and Client Acquisition
- Research and generate leads, build pipelines, and schedule meetings with high-potential prospects.
- Schedule and eventually conduct first-level sales meetings with prospective customers.
- Identify and engage key decision-makers within target organizations to introduce BlastPoint’s value proposition.
Sales Support, Pipeline Management & First-Level Engagement
- Clearly communicate BlastPoint’s product value proposition by utilizing and helping develop sales and marketing collateral.
- Assist in developing proof-of-concept materials, calculating ROIs, and creating sales plans for customers.
- Implement lead outreach strategies to move deals forward, including follow-ups, nurture campaigns, and other outreach efforts.
- Manage and engage inbound marketing-generated leads.
- Collaborate with account executives and senior sales executives to support tactical sales initiatives and contribute to revenue growth.
- Support and manage customer workshops, trade shows, and other sales-related events.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the HubSpot CRM, ensuring all activities and opportunities are accurately tracked.
Professional Requirements
- 1-2 years in a BDR, SDR, or sales-related role (preferably in B2B SaaS or technology sales).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in making outbound calls and handling objections.
- Goal-oriented with a competitive edge.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools (e.g., Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Ability to learn and articulate product knowledge quickly.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Subject to a background check.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create compelling outreach messages and follow-ups.
- Self-Motivated: Highly driven, proactive, and goal-oriented. You’re willing to go the extra mile to hit or exceed targets.
- Research & Outreach: Skilled at conducting research on target accounts and identifying key decision-makers. Experience with LinkedIn, cold calling, and email outreach preferred.
- Technical Savvy: Comfortable with CRM tools like HubSpot (experience preferred), Apollo, and sales enablement software.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to develop and present proposals, case studies, and product demonstrations.
- Team Player: Collaborates with internal teams (like marketing and customer success) to enhance lead generation efforts and improve sales strategies.
- Problem Solving: Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt and solve problems on the fly.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities and evolving responsibilities.
- Experience working in utilities and banking industries (preferred, but not required).
- Technical background is a strong plus
- Ability to travel to tradeshows and industry specific events
